About the Project

Chuan Shang opened in 2020, they are dedicated to bringing true Sichuan flavors to Auckland. While enjoying the food, meet warm people in their little store. Sichuan cuisine is composed of seven basic flavors: sour, pungent, hot, sweet, bitter, aromatic, and salty. Sichuan cuisine has bold flavors, particularly the pungency and spiciness resulting from the liberal use of garlic and chili peppers, as well as the unique flavor of Sichuan pepper. Sichuan food is divided into five different types: sumptuous banquet, ordinary banquet, popularised food, household-style food, and snacks.
